Seasons greetings! We have something special prepared for all of you lovely people on Christmas Day. Many months ago (two) an idea was born for ten bands that Howling Owl work with, to cover each others songs. An FA Cup style draw was made in the most hushed of locations (my conservatory), pitching bands against one another. The rules were they had to cover a song of the band they were drawn against; any song they wanted and however they wanted. It has almost been an impossible task to co-ordinate as all these bands are busy gigging and recording serious stuff and whatnot. Here are the match ups:   GuMM v Oliver Wilde Towns v Falling Stacks Naturals v Velcro Hooks Spectres v Tidal Wars Lets Kill Janice v Me, You and Thomas All we can say is that the bands have created something quite outstanding and we are proud as punch to be working with all of them. At 00.00am Christmas Day we will be releasing the compilation. There will be 20 tapes and 20 CDs available, both with quite lovely artwork and and other treats. There will also be a download that you can grab and donate some pennies for if you like…but it is a Christmas gift from us to you!  So, get ready for midnight!
